SPECIFIC TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF SALES APPLICABLE TO WELCOME FAMILY

Article 1 – Purpose

The purpose of these terms and conditions is to define the terms applicable to orders for infant high-chairs, baby changing units, booster seats and more (referred to as the “Product”) placed by you ("the client") with Welcome Family ("the supplier").

Article 2 - Placing Orders

This merchant website is exclusively reserved for businesses, such as restaurants, hotels, attraction parks, holiday parks - it is a business to business website.

The client will place their orders through the merchant website provided for this purpose.

The order will become complete and final once the client has filled out and submitted his order on the Welcome Family website.

Upon submitting his order, the client will receive an order confirmation containing the Product details, quantity, price, method of payment, shipping address and expected delivery date.

Only mainland UK can place an order with this merchant website.

If your item is not in stock, we will back order for you. You will always have the option to cancel your order if you would rather not wait.

Article 3 - Financial Terms

3.1. Price

The unit price of each Product is shown on the merchant Welcome Family website.

The prices are exempt of VAT if you are a UK VAT registered business. The client must fill in the client details and the VAT number to ensure that VAT is not included on the prices shown.

The prices do not include shipping. The shipping is an extra cost and is shown once the client's products are in the shopping basket and before the order is finalised.

3.2. Billing

The client pays for their order direct on the merchant website and will receive proof of purchase.

Once the order has been paid for the order will be shipped to the client.

3.3. Methods of Payment

On-Line transactions are carried out on our behalf by Visa and Paypal.

The Welcome Family website and your payment is secure with SSL.

Welcome Family has no direct access to your credit card details. Our website will also use a small number of cookies to store those products in your basket and to recognise one unique user from another. These cookies do not store or transmit personally identifiable data.

Article 4 - Delivery to mainland UK

Welcome Family endeavours to dispatch all in-stock goods within 2 working days from the date of the client's order.

UK customers should receive their goods within 10 working days from the date of order, which takes into account delivery by either Fedex or pallet service, depending on the size of the order.

Express delivery can also be arranged. Simply get in touch with us and we will arrange the most cost-effective option for a speedy delivery.

We cannot guarantee delivery schedules, with the involvement of third party delivery services which are beyond our control. We will however try our utmost to meet the above guidelines and should you be concerned with the delivery schedule of any order, please do not hesitate to contact us, as we will endeavour to resolve any problems.

A carriage charge applies to all orders.

Article 5 - Product Warranty

Welcome Family's baby changing units, high chairs, booster seats and other products are used with confidence by a wide range of commercial establishments including restaurants, hotels and attraction parks. 

Welcome Family remains dedicated to providing products which are designed to withstand the full rigours of commercial use and which are independently tested to ensure they meet and exceed the requirements of European standards.

Welcome Family warrants its baby changing units, high chairs and booster seats to be free from defects in materials and workmanship, under normal use and service, for a period of one year from the date of purchase, when installed and maintained in accordance with Welcome Family’s written instructions.

Without limiting the generality of the foregoing, this warranty does not cover:

- Any improper use and/or maintenance not in accordance with the usage instructions 

-          Normal or natural wear and tear on the Product;

-          Any modification of the Product made by the client or any third party;

-          Any damage to the Product resulting from a fire or water damage, theft or vandalism, tampering or misapplication, loads in excess of stated maxima or improper installation.

Article 6 - Product Returns

6.1 Unwanted products, if the client is not happy with their purchase made on the merchant website, the client can return it to Welcome Family unused and in the condition that it was received in, within 30 days. Welcome Family will issue a refund for the full amount, not including any outward delivery or return delivery charges. This 30 day guarantee period begins from the date of receipt of the goods.

6.2 Faulty goods, if goods are received and are damaged or faulty in any way, the client must return them back to Welcome Family within 15 days of receipt and the client will be fully refunded.

Article 7 - Privacy Policy

Welcome Family is committed to protecting your privacy. We will only use the information that we collect about you lawfully (in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998). We collect information about you to process your order and provide you with the best possible service. We will only contact you in respect of your order. We will give you the chance to refuse any marketing material from us. We do not, and will not, pass your details to any other trader.

The type of information we will collect about you includes:

  • Your name
  • Address
  • Telephone number
  • E-mail address
  • Credit/debit card details

We will never collect sensitive information about you without your explicit consent. The information we hold will be accurate and up to date. You can check the information that we hold about you by emailing us. If you find any inaccuracies we will delete or correct it promptly.

The personal information which we hold will be held securely in accordance with our internal security policy and the law. Our site will also use a small number of cookies to store those products in your basket and to recognise one unique user from another. These cookies do not store or transmit personally identifiable data. 

Article 8 - Force Majeure

If the non-fulfilment of any of the obligations stipulated in these specific terms and conditions is caused by a case of force majeure or an unavoidable accident not within the control and reasonable due diligence of the parties, neither of the parties will be held responsible.

The subsequent fulfilment of orders and obligations will be suspended in the event that a case of force majeure occurs that is outside the control of the parties, unforeseeable and unavoidable, making it impossible to fulfil its contractual obligations, without causing Welcome Family to incur any liability as a result with respect to the clients order and without entitling the client to claim any corresponding compensation from Welcome Family.

The following will be considered a non-limiting list of cases of force majeure: fire, flood, earthquake or any other natural disaster of this type, government intervention, war, riot, labour strike or nationwide labour dispute external to one of the parties, the duration and intensity of which are exceptionally great.

The parties hereby agree under such circumstances to seek an alternative solution, in good faith, that allows them to continue their normal business activities.

The contract will resume normal fulfilment, and the parties will once again be responsible for fulfilling all of their obligations stipulated herein, as soon as the end of the case of force majeure has been duly noted.

Article 9 - Law and Applicable Language

These specific terms and conditions are governed by French law.
